BRIEF:
| I alway want to look through things, like with the power of X-ray. I assume that the city is like a stage, and there must be some hidden emotions and secrets behind walls, mountains, or just behind your back. In my drawings, I like to "capture" such hidden truths, on paper, as if it is an X-ray film. |

ARTIST'S BIO
Hong Kong based comic and animation artist Kongkee is interested in the relationship between people and place. His animations, comic publications and online comic blog are often humourous and fun whilst also displaying a mature sensitivity to the subjects he deals with.
Born in 1977, Kongkee works in comic as well as video imaging in Hong Kong. In 2003 he published his first comic, a dark-city-fairy tale “Imperfect Shoes.” In his comic works, there are senses of humor & crazy imagination. And he loves to express the ironic situation of ordinary life. His online Comic collections just published in April 2008. Kongkee is also active in the visual art scene in Hong Kong, and loves to use his work to question about the city life. In 2007, he used the cartoons sticker to protest the commercial booming from train broadcast system. His video “Name of Wu Mei” received a Special Mention by “ifva Short Film Festival 2005” and was selected by “Hong Kong Art Biennial Exhibition 2005.” In 2007, he won the “The Regional Champion- ANIMAX Awards: Pan-Asia Animation Competition 2007.”
